CHATEAU LA MOULINIERE RED

WINE ESTATE
• Since he took it over in 1991, Jean Jacques Lesgourgues, owner of the prestigious Laubade Armagnac, has completely transformed this estate beside the Dordogne and, as a patron of the arts, has turned it into a contemporary art exhibition.
• The 130 acres property dates back to the 16th century and includes and produces 260,000 bottles per year.

SOIL
• Light and sandy soils on a limestone bedrock.

GRAPE VARIETY
• 80% Merlot.
• 20% Cabernet Sauvignon.

VINIFICATION
• 2 weeks maceration.
• Fermentation in stainless steel vats, gentle pump over.

FOOD PAIRING
• You can enjoy this wine with all sorts of grilled meat; it goes particularly well with dry cheese.

TASTING NOTES
•“Red and deep color. The wine is round with supple tannins and a lot of red fruit on the palate.”
