Baron Francois Ltd was founded in 1982 by Adrien Baron, and rapidly became well known as a key supplier of the finest restaurants in New York city.
In March 2000, Adrien has turned over the company to the Lesgourgues family, a vintner and distiller family for three generations.
The Lesgourgues produce and distribute, among other fine estates, the acclaimed Château de Laubade Bas Armagnacs and the rising star of the Graves, Château Haut Selve (Bordeaux).
Currently, Denis Lesgourgues leads Baron Francois Ltd and its team of 18 employees.

Almost 100% of the wines in Baron Francois’ extensive portfolio are single vineyard wines, from independent wine producers with whom the company maintains faithful relations vintage after vintage.

Baron Francois’ Selection Committee has the objective to select only very elegant and well-balanced wines at a reasonable price.

The mission of Baron Francois is to supply his customers with excellent products, selected from producers who embody their “terroir” in their wines, and to assist his customers in their retailing activities with a policy of high quality service and a neighborly attitude of a long term partnership.

Baron Francois imports and distributes wines and premium spirits in the states of New York, New Jersey and Maryland and in the District of Columbia. The company also works with others distributors in many other States throughout the country.

At the headquarter of New York, the team spirit prevails among all the individuals who participate in the success of Baron Francois. This enables the team to cover all the operating fields including logistics, customer service, finance, marketing and sales.

The sales team at Baron Francois is composed of young men and women, educated professionals who are dedicated and hard working and who have above all an inherent passion of fine wines and spirits.

Throughout the year, Claude Burce, our Sales Director, leads this team and develops promotions and marketing campaigns in order to help our clients do what they do best: provide excellent and attractive wines to their customers.
