WINE ESTATE
• Records show that the noble Chateau Ramafort already existed in 1240. Vineyards were planted in the exceptional soil around the Chateau in the 17th century. Formidable changes have been made to the estate in the last three decades: complete restructuring of the vineyard by the Rothschild family at the beginning of the seventies, high-tech improvements to wine-growing and wine- making by the owners. Eric Fabre, the winemaker of Chateau Ramafort, is the former winemaker of Chateau Lafite Rothschild.
