WINE ESTATE
• The name of the Appellation “Entre deux mers” (in between two seas) is due to the location of the vines between the two affluents of the Gironde: the Dordogne and the Garonne.
• The Garzaro family bought the Chateau le Prieur at the beginning of the 20th century and has been making seductive wines for 3generations, now using their know-how in sustainable agriculture.
SOIL
• The Vines flourishes on chalky clay hills
GRAPE VARIETY
• 60% Sauvignon
• 40% Sémillon
VINIFICATION
• Harvested at optimal ripeness and health, the white grapes are destemmed and pressed immediately to avoid oxidation.
• Low temperature vinification (16-18°) and maturation on the lees, allows for full fruit expression in our wines together with fresh citrus and floral notes.
FOOD PAIRING
• This wine goes perfectly well with seafood of any kind (oyster, crab…) and can also be paired with poultry.
TASTING NOTES
• Nice limpid yellow colour with glimmering green reflects.
• Very expressive fresh nose offering aromas of exotic fruit (pineapple, mango), ripe citrus (lemon, grapefruit). Floral and menthol notes bring a nice complement.
• In the mouth, nice crispy feeling at first place followed by a sweet and buttered impression which creates a good balance. Fruity and mineral finish to pair with fish or shellfish.
